Engagement Card

A little while some friends of mine got engaged . This was a great excuse to use I {heart} hearts stamp set . The Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon ties really well and I added a little tag from the Tiny Tags stamp set .

christmas card class

This was christmas card class number 2 . I know I have been neglecting my blog for a wee while but I had mislaid my connection cable for my camera and then when it did turn up , I had just got out of the habit of blogging !! Apologies to all !! To be honest I love crafting but am really not so keen on the computer side of things and I really need to make a conscious effort to record all my creations . The good news , is that , I have photographed whatever I have made and I promise to let you see them . Anyway I hope you like these christmas cards in Marina mist , it made a nice change from the traditional colours of green and red .

Cottage Garden Thankyou

I made this quick thank you card using the Baby Blossoms stamp set along with the Cottage Garden DSP . The "Thank you " is from the Because I Care stamp set . I stamped the images on Very Vanilla card and then mounted that onto Crumb Cake card stock . I also stamped the flower image on the bottom right hand corner inside .

Another Birthday !

I made this matching card and gift box for another friend's birthday this week . I thought I would use the Blushing bride colour as it matched her gift which fitted perfectly in the gift box . I thought I would use this week's Mojo Monday template for her card . The matching DSP is from the hostess Level one gifts and I made the flowers from the Bigz Dies Flower,Daisies .I used Certainly celery to add a different colour but I love the Blushing Bride and Whisper White combination . I hope you like ! !

Because I care

I used this stamp set for a friend's birthday card at the weekend . She likes the colour duck egg blue so I used Baja Breeze for the base card . I coloured the flower with Baja Breeze and Wild Wasabi pens and then stamped it on Very Vanilla card .The sentiment is from the Level 2 hostess set Something to Celebrate which is in the Mini Catalogue .

Christmas Card Class

I held my first card class last night. This is my table before the ladies arrived - all neat and tidy !


And this is what they made !!We used the Welcome Christmas stamp set and the packs included two of each card , so they ladies went home with their first eight christmas cards . One lady even went as far as to sign it and address all ready for the 1st December ! I wonder will she remember where she has put it !!

Make a Monster

I made this card for a very special wee boy - Harry who is 6 tomorrow ! A monster for a little monster!! This stamp set is fun to play with as you have a selection of eyes , mouths and hair to make your little monsters with . I used the Celebrations DSP because of the bold primary colours .I coloured the monsters in using Blender Pens as this gives a softer touch . The sentiment comes from the Curly Cute stamp set . Happy Birthday Harry !!

Kimono Kids

As you know for a while I was not very good at posting cards onto my blog ! But believe me it wasn't for the fact that I wasn't making cards - I just didn't make time to post ! I made this card for my daughter's birthday back in June . She loves this stamp set and I knew she would be pleased if I made her a card with it . The stamps in the set fitted very well for this side step card .The base card is Baja Breeze and I layered it up with Daffodil Yellow and Melon Mambo . I then coloured in using the same colours with the pens .

Summer Splash

I bought this stamp set knowing that I had to use it for my eldest son's birthday as he is a keen surfer . Well he is 17 tomorrow and has his first driving lesson booked for 10.30 am !! Keen ... Anyway back to the card - I stamped the surf boards with Whisper white craft ink and embossed them using stampin white embossing powder . They really stand out against the Marina Mist card stock . I roughly tore some crumb cake card and mounted an extra surf board to give it a 3D effect . I hope he likes it !!

mojo200 winter post

I am in christmas card mode !! I have a workshop tonight and the girls have requested cristmas cards , so when I took a look at the Mojo Monday blogspot I thought I would keep with the theme of Christmas ! I am so determined to have all my christmas cards made early this year so I have organized a christmas card club . If you are interseted please email me and I will let you know the details . I have used the Winter post stamp set and the wording is from the Level 3 hostess set Occassional Quotes .

motorcycle birthday card

I have actually made a few cards using this stamp set as I will be needing them for a few male birthdays coming up .I consulted the Colour Coach ( available in the catalogue page 81 ) as I find it difficult to come up with nice colour schemes for men . This colour combination is Cherry cobbler , Basic Black , Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla . Now I would never have thought of putting these colours together but I love it ! I used a little of the DSP in Cherry Cobbler to give it a wee lift . I have used the Modern label punch for the sentiment which is out of the Level 3 hostess set Occassional Quotes . I hope you like the simplicity as much as I do !

I'm Back !!

I am so sorry to have neglected my blog for so long but my poor dad died at the end of february and it has been hard as we had to sort out his house and everything that goes with that . It is not a case that I have not been making cards as a few of us Northern Irish demonstrators took a stand at the Kings Hall in Belfast at the Creative Stitch and craft show and we had samples to make for that . I have been merely coping with the necessary ! Now we are preparing for another Experience event on the 11th June so again the samples are being made . This photo shows the congratulations cards that I made for the winners of the prize draw on the stand . I hope the 3 ladies were pleased to have each won the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set !

Sweet summer thank you card

This is a simple thank you card using a lovely little stamp in the Sale - a - bration set Sweet Summer . I used co - ordinating buttons and ribbon in Marina mist and used Certainly Celery DSP and card to co-ordinate with the ink used in the image . I used the Word Window punch to add a little detail . The wording is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set .

Birthday Wishes

I have stuck with the Sunny garden DSP , as I thought it went well with the flower theme of my Mojo Monday card . I used the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers and the bird punch for the leaves . The Birthday wishes is from Sincere Salutations .

Cottage Garden

This is my interpretation of this week's Mojo Monday . I decided to use the Cottage Garden stamp set with the Sunny Garden DSP .I enjoy doing a card challenge as it allows me to concentrate on colour rather than the arrangement .

Trendy Trees thankyou card

The designer paper dictated the colour scheme of this card . Unfortunately it is from a retired set - Sweet Pea ( Mini Catalogue summer 2009 ) but it is pretty !I love the Trendy tree stamp set because it is an excuse to bring out the Stamp a ma jig . I used bashful blue for my base card and layered using Old Olive . As I have said before the great thing about stampin up products are that everything co - ordinates . So the ink , card and paper all co - ordinate together and it makes card making easy !!

Gina and Joy's stampin up experience

I thought I would show a few photos of our stampin up experience event which we hosted in the Dunsilly Hotel on saturday 15th January . Over 50 ladies attended the event and a good time was had by all ! We even had our own technician - Edwin - he was responsible for the projecting of our demonstrations and sound . What would we have done without him !!!!It has taken me a while to recover ! and catch up on all the housework and ironing which I neglected on the run up to the event . Many thanks to you all for coming along and supporting us and to Edwin !!Congratulations to all the prize winners - I hope you are making good use of your prizes !!!

Sympathy card

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days but my son has been in hospital having his appendix removed .Thankfully he was not kept in hospital too long and got home at the weekend . Now mum is playing nurse !!! He thought it would be a good idea to bring the call button home for me but the look on my face told him may be not !!

I really look forward to seeing what Mojo Monday have got in store for us every week . This is this week's design , I unfortunately needed a sympathy card so I have used the Hopeful Thoughts stamp set for the wording and I thought the muted colours from the Designer paper - Elegant Soiree were appropiate .

Autumn Days easel card

I just love making easel cards !! This is a card that I made before christmas and I thought I would share it with you as I have already failed my New year's resolution (posting daily on my blog )!!So I am trying to keep it to every other day ! So far so good ! BUT I have been busy catching up on postponed birthday parties and workshops due to the bad weather before christmas . I used Chocolate chip for base colour and layered it with More mustard and Very vanilla which I am using more and more of .

Happy New year to you !!!Well my new year's resolution is not to neglect my blog!!!!I would like to even go as far as to say that I would like to add to it every day but I think that that is being a little too optimistic !!!!Well we see how I get on !
